Nazar Andaaz, a comedy-drama film starring Abhishek Banerjee, Kumud Mishra, Divya Dutt and Rajeshwari Sachdev, was released on Netflix in October 2022. The movie is directed by debutant director Vikrant Deshmukh and written by Rishi Virmani. The movie tells a beautiful story of a visually impaired person with some helpful life hacks that can make life easier.
The story revolves around a mid-aged blind person named Sudhir who is very kind-hearted and lives alone in a bungalow with his maid Bhavani. Sudhir's sangeet guru (music teacher) gave his bungalow and properties to him before his death. One day Sudhir meets a thief but he has no particular name to call. People call him whatever they like. In Bhavani's absence, Sudhir meets the thief in his house and gives him food. Sudhir offers him a job at his house but one condition: he has to leave him as a thief. Sudhir also gave him the name 'Ali'. When Bhavani returned and found Ali in the house she got angry. This makes them both jealous of each other. Meanwhile, Sudhir is preparing a will so Ali and Bhavani both try to keep themselves in Sudhir's good book. Sudhir decides one day to visit Mandavi, his childhood village. Ali and Bhavani accompany him. What happened there?

The writers of this film create very realistic characters in this film. The first half of the film was comparatively less impactful but some comedy and drama was still there in the first half. The second half of the film was an emotional rollercoaster with a heartfelt ending. “Zindagi khoobsurat hai, farak sirf nazariye ka hai (Life is beautiful, the only difference is how you look at it),” the whole move stands on this simple heart touching line. At the beginning of the movie, Sudhir helps another blind man cross the road and advises him “Don’t make taking help your habit, else you will keep standing here and won’t be able to cross the road.” This type of small things, related to our life made the movie more beautiful. Despite being blind, Sudhir never felt helpless or unhappy, he always tried to move on in every situation and loves to live fullest. He didn't make his blindness his limiting factor, he is funny and confident. The movie teaches us these lessons. We can see many native things on the road trip like Gujrati cuisine named 'Khandvi' and many other tourist places.
Kumud Mishra's acting was phenomenal. The way Kumud Mishra conveyed the character of a blind man, his struggle, facial expressions and body language is really admirable. Kumud Mishra's acting is the soul of this movie. Divya Dutt as Bhavani did a wonderful job, specially her Hariyanvi accent was really impressive. Abhishek Banerjee as Ali also gives a beautiful performance with a natural approach. Rajeshwari Sachdeva's appearance adds gentleness to this story.
The music track in this movie 'lootera aa gaya' is very enjoyable composed by Vishal Mishra, written by Raj sekhar. The music in this film matches the story mood. Camera work was standard, but it was quite nice.
Overall Nazar Andaaz is a heart-warming movie with an emotional story and valuable life lessons.
